- A pre-training assignment need to be handed in to indicate a rudimentary knowledge of learning theory, the process of learning, the role of dominance and the primitive reflex system.
- You need to attend and actively participate during all the training days.
- You will be assessed throughout the training by the course facilitator(s), your peers and yourself.
- You need to demonstrate proficiency throughout the training and assess according to the assessment criteria listed in your manual.
- At the end of the course you will be expected to provide a comprehensive PoE (portfolio of evidence) to demonstrate your competency in successfully guiding 5 case studies through
- interviewing skills;
- assessment to determine barriers to learning;
- designing and implementing home programmes;
- and recording the progress.
- You need to submit an article on a selected barrier to learning for publication.
- You will be expected to reflect on your own facilitation style both in a 1:1 situation and as a staff development presenter.
- Each learner’s own learning style plays a vital role in the preferred style of presentation of information. To facilitate this there are no limitations on your preferred style of presenting your PoE, as long as the information contained therein is relevant, accurate and scientifically referenced.
- Evidence of additional research is essential. All additional research must be referenced in the text and in the reference list. Use reference list in manual for recommended reading.
- You will have the support of a qualified Mind Moves Instructor as your tutor, during the periods between training. The extend of the relationship with the tutor will be taken into consideration during assessment.
- Pass rate is 80%.
- Failure to meet the requirements would mean that you need to attend the following Mind Moves Instructor training course and invest another 50% of the original course fee.
- Once qualified as a Mind Moves Instructor, an annual Continuous Development Programme (CDP) score of a minimum of 100 points is compulsory.
- Client surveys will be done on a regular basis to ensure the standard of service offered according to the Mind Moves Institute code of conduct.
